And you know what's weird? This story led me to
Google "art meat" and discover a whole world of the stuff. Making stuff out of meat is apparently so common it's old hat. Who knew? I'm guessing it hasn't really taken off with buyers because it's hard to keep it from rotting and stinking which lowers the appeal of a work of art, unless it's by Damien Hirst.
It's Gaga's second shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan. Last time she dressed up as a dude called Jo Calderone.
Your thoughts?
It's disgusting, sorry Gaga, I used to like you, now I listent to some of your music, trust me it's not all that great, you arent God, but your attempts at gaining publicity lately are meaningless and silly!

Stuff like this used to be shocking...now its just plain dumb... every attempt to shock or annoy people now was done back in the 60's and 70's. It's tacky.

PETA should have better things to worry about.get a life.

So boring, Gaga.

"Tortured animal"? How do they figure? How do they KNOW?
I for one LOVE beef, and won't have it's image tarnished by serving as some sort of bikini outfit for a w****! Wait, who is that person in the picture?
Oh well, I still love beef, even if it was used to dress up a prostitute in Vogue magazine.

Please "GAGA" remove the only vowel that you are wasting...that being the extra "A" at the end of your name.By doing that simple thing you will get the idea of what you are making the rest of the world do!

As the world wakes up to the talentless hack who has a flair for self promotion...Gaggers days are numbered
Posted by: marc | 09/08/2010 at 07:07 PM
The starving people of the world would not be pleased. What a waste... unless she sells the meat on ebay to the highest bidder and donates the money to the food bank.

she is a bimbo
Posted by: mick | 09/08/2010 at 07:32 PM
Sorry PETA but if animals aren't meant to be eaten why would they be made out of meat?
Posted by: Robert V | 09/08/2010 at 07:37 PM
Yep and there's about a million morons out there that like this nitwit...
Posted by: The Ripper | 09/08/2010 at 08:45 PM
ok, it's a men's magazine, and she's posing as a woman, embodying the "meat market" mentality that most mens magazines reflect women as - as reflected by a mens magazine having a photo of her scantily clad in meat on the cover... It's actually pretty clever, in a more or less obvious kind of way. I'd like to think that the meat was ground up and fed to her manservants afterwards. Or, if the PETA people prefer, her dogs. We do still feed meat to dogs don't we....even a vegetarian has to feed his dog meat. Sorry PETA, I agree we shouldn't cram animals into cages, but free range chicken or steak thats lead a happy healthy life will always have place on my plate. And who's to say that the meat she's wearing wasn't from free range kosher grain fed oriental massaged cattle?

Idiot loser. No one will remember this asshole is two years.

It's funny how fast people forget. Did no one see the episode of ANTM (America's Next Top Model, if you need clarification), where they dressed the girls all in meat? Yes, MULTIPLE women. criticism is not unfounded here, but singling her out kinda is. You can't lump it all on one insecure, attention seeking Hollywood fool.

Blame CSI and other shows on showing the inside out of almost everything.
For real not many reliable alternatives to meat just yet. Example is soy milk tastes like lactating milk of human mothers like Beyonce and others.
Personally, wonder why PETA and others never made a link between human death and meat being displayed like this. Coffin ads with cows inside as examples or if in the other camp, feeling bad for eating flowers and even Soy itself as horrid to them. Feeling bad for this is fashion horror enough; but what about the plant world as well. It almost like eating beautiful roses for breakfast.

"Meat represents bloody violence and suffering"...WTF! peta is totally unreasonable, I'm all for animal welfare, but come on! the human brain would not have developed to this level of intelligence if we hadn't eaten meat since the beginning of time. its only natural, we're animals too animals eat each other, duh! btw i love lady gaga and she looks hot in this pic
Posted by: vanessa | 09/08/2010 at 10:45 PM
Its only a cover of a magazine. I think its a pretty clever photo. Men view women as a piece of meat.
Posted by: Doug | 09/09/2010 at 01:04 AM
PETA are hypocrites. They have something like a 95% kill rate for animals they "rescue".

Lady Gaga, do your job and make music. Jimi Hendrix was far more couorful than you and so was his music RIP jimi,
Posted by: paul | 09/09/2010 at 04:14 AM
What amazes me is the number of negative comments about Lady Gaga.
PETA are the real losers in all of this. Bunch of grass eating morons.
Hey PETA here's a FACT: The human body is designed to eat meat so get over it already.
Posted by: Steve | 09/09/2010 at 12:02 PM
afew PETA people have rights but so does the rest of the world
Posted by: ddd | 09/09/2010 at 12:57 PM
I am all for treating our food with respect for its life and health but this is a bit beyond the pale. She is a talentless nothing but for PETA to be upset, shouldn't she be dressed in a dead, still furred animal not meat already prepped for retail?
I think all that bread has severely depleted brain cells; certainly enough to eradicate any good they may have done in the past. We are, as humans, not carnivores per se but more like bears which are omnivores--they will eat anything. Our biology requires animal fats--not alot but complex proteins that our bodies need are only to be found in meat. By all means limit the amount but to say that we shouldn`t be putting meat in our bodies is not only erroneous but irresponsible as well.
Posted by: michelle | 09/09/2010 at 01:28 PM
i do agree that PETA has gone overboard here.
Note: the human body is not designed to eat raw meat.....as we still have to cook most of it before we can even digest it. Also not all proteins the body needs are found in meat, in fact only some protiens in meat are actually digested properly by the human body.
Plus how did humans survive before the invention of fire? thats right... they ate plants. Please dont knock people who dont eat meat, im sure alot of them have reasons other than animal cruelty....like their health. Plus there are plenty of natural foods that contain the nutrition the body needs, even ones that dont contain soy.
Also im sure the ones
calling lady gaga talentless are secretly wishing they were on the cover of a magazine, and selling millions of records. She worked very hard to get to where she is....she followed her dreams, gotta respect that.
Posted by: Ashley | 09/09/2010 at 02:28 PM
Actually, michelle is right that we require animal fats and complex proteins for our bodies to function properly and that these proteins are ONLY found in meat. Ashley must have missed that point... Yes, beans and a few other foods will give protein but not the complex proteins.
What the gist of other comments was not about knocking non meat eaters but veggies incapacity to allow others their choice and to shut up about it. Most vegans and vegetarians catching the media's attention wail and shout in a generalized manner about meat eaters. We are apparently the devil while they are angels. That is what starts meat eaters denegrating veggies, not the other way around. As a fellow omnivore\carnivore I support common sense and a non cruel treatment of food animals.
If the body is not designed to digest raw meat, millions of sushi, carpaccio and ceviche eaters are in a lot of trouble. Heck, shouldn't they all be dead or stuck on a toilet somewhere? Yes it can be digested in adequate quantities and as part of a balanced diet. Plants do make up that balance but so does meat.
I also consider Gags a novelty which hopefully passes soon. Someone with the talent to back up the talk has no need of props, gimmicks, shock tactics and general bad taste. And nope, have no desire to put my face on a magazine and I make money just fine, thanks.
