As she promised earlier, Rihanna premiered her new single Only Girl in the World on Ryan Seacrest's site this morning (Tuesday).

It's apparent that she's still trying to be bad, maybe even a little shocking in some circles, with the line "I want you to love me like I'm a hot guy" (read: she's talking to a girl, maybe? Are pop stars still playing the fauz lesbian card? It's getting frayed around the edges) Less apparent is whether the song will have any appeal. Riri is hit and miss. She has some VERY bad songs (Take a Bow, Rock Star) and she's not much of a singer (see here for a refresher) but she's got star power and when handed a good song like Umbrella or Disturbia (both of which have very few notes in them), she knocks it out of the park. I think this might be leaning closer to Rock Star than Disturbia, unfortunately. But who cares what I think. What do you think?

In other news, MTV reported today that her upcoming album will be called Loud.

Huh. Don't know how I feel about that either. Maybe a little uninspired, no?
