The three-finger devil salute is set to come to living rooms worldwide as Judas Priest screamer Rob Halford readies to release a concert DVD capturing a performance at Japan’s 20,000-plus capacity Saitama Super Arena.
The inventively named Halford Live at Saitama Super Arena will be issued in October via Metal God Records; the gig features Halford on vocals, Roy Z. on guitar, "Metal" Mike Chlasciak on guitars, Mike Davis on bass and Bobby Jarzombek on drums, according to Henne Music.
The DVD contains 15 5.1 surround sound audio recordings (naturally) featuring Priest material as well as stuff Halford has done with his side project, Fight. The Blu-ray release features exclusive footage with Rob Halford commentary.
Of course, Judas Priest is currently ping-ponging around the globe with their more-or-less farewell “Epitaph” tour; several Canadian dates are pending this fall. Bring earplugs... trust me on this one.
