Ozzygetty600

First off, let us start by saying that we here at inMusic.ca like Ozzy Osbourne.  We have interviewed him several times over the years and he has always been a delight.

But when he recently called in to chat with us about his new Diary of a Madman/Blizzard of Ozz 30th Anniversary box set we had a little trouble making out what he was saying; bad connection perhaps?

So we thought we'd share the direct audio with you, the readers of inMusic and ask: can you tell us what the Hell he's saying?

Click below to hear the audio from interview:

Q1:How did you decide what to put on the anniversary boxset?

Q2:Do you keep the die-hard fan in mind when picking out material for the box set?

Q3: Was there any rivalry between you and Black Sabbath when you left?

Q4: What is the best decision you have ever made in your musical career?

Q5: What makes your wife Sharon such a good manager for you?

Q6: Did you watch the Royal Wedding?

Diary of a Madman/Blizzard of Ozz 30th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set can be purchased here online.

this interview had me in stitches. what is he saying!?!?

about the rivalry question, if you want to know the correct answer, just ask Bob Daisley, the bassist who wrote the songs and got financialy screwed by Ozzy, Maybe Ozzy did not really want to answer this!

If you listen carefully!...each question has too many parts to it...BUT, If you listen you will find the answer to each question in the first thing he says... IS!!! the answer!...Also, to understand a person you must listen to the whole conversation...This man and his past band have made our lives a whole lot more enjoyable!!!...so who really cares what he has said?...The point being!........Ozzy answered to the best of his ability...His family is most important...He respects Sharons awesome ability...AND!!! Loves his Kids and PROVIDES for them....nuff said!...

Sincerely WADE

I can understand what Ozzy is saying when I can hear it. The problem is the crappy recording full of external noise and the playback mix that is full of pops crackles etc.
Would you have been saying the same if the person recorded was someone like Obama or some such person? No you would be complaining about the abysmal recording and not blaming the person recorded.

Just hilarious!

no bloody idea what Ozzy was talking about, but he had a good time no doubt

it's a combination of him speaking to close to the reciever and repeating some of the words he says.

Ozzy played up his own particular British dialect to the hilt. His deciphered answers to your questions were;
1) Anything of value.
2)Yeah. Then he gave emotional descriptions of his friehds decorative boxed-sets.
3)Of course there was. Technically we were divorced so there certainly was rivalry.
4)I'm not good at making decisions but I've been lucky in my career.
5)We love each other and we work well for each other. Sharon's a workaholic - she enjoys what she does.
6) You couldn't avoid it. It was good for the people - a good gathering.

I hope that helps :-)

I think his phone might have been the problem, I had to turn the volume down on my speakers. Too much distortion. But it was funny as you could only catch a couple of words and I know I took them out of context. Bless your black sabbath heart Ozzy! \|^^|

Oh this is great.

"technilogical revolution"

"its-its-its fucken- it's (unknown) really goood"

Ozzy is awesome, regardless.

hello
II could hear everything he said just fine. If you turn it down Everything is crystal clear. Its like he is too close to the phone.

Seriously? Even I can understand him just fine. Clearly there is a bit of a stammer on some parts but its not as if you can't understand him unless you just don't understand his accent.

Wish I could help!! Wow, no idea!

lol next time have ozzy sing the interview for ya "ya know" lol

And this weirdo is a singer??!!! Spare us please!

Sounds good to me :) Why make an thing of it, just because you can't understand good English?

I used to Cruise Gratiot every night I used to live in East Pointe Michigan, I used to go to East Detroit High school, I even went to Grant Junior High.I seem to like Ozzy Osborne very much he tries to act for the kids like a devil worshiper but in reality hes a good man he loves his wife Sharon so much and his kids as well gives them anything hes very good .Im old now , Im 60 yrs old I do love God very much. But Im also sure Ozzy does as well I think hes a Libra which is probably why he s so kind.

Typical Ozzy, bumbling rambling but you can pick out enough words to discern that he is co-herant and answering the questions. Obviously a bad connection.

its easy to really understand him- he drops the f-bomb but hey, whos going to understand. He also repeats what he says as well.

The conversation with Ozzie is not editable. The only two words that I good understand was the last two.Your Welcome.
What a stone dead individual or Full of hard drugs
and brain dead from previous
drug habits. What a specimen of a man/human being. Why interview a man like that anyway. You should have cut him off after the first question.
