Scarlett Johansson isn’t the best singer on the planet, but one kind of has to admire her tenacity.
In the past, the Black Widow has released an album of Tom Waits covers titled Anywhere I Lay My Head and recorded a version of Jeff Buckley’s Last Goodbye, which appeared on the He’s Just Not That Into You soundtrack. She also recorded a cover of Summertime at some point, for some reason.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, she’s collaborating with Lulu Gainsbourg, son of the late Serge, on a cover of Bonnie & Clyde, which Serge originally recorded with Brigitte Bardot.
The song is part of a forthcoming tribute album, From Lulu to Gainsbourg, which will reportedly feature Vanessa Paradis, Iggy Pop, Marianne Faithfull and Rufus Wainwright in addition to Serge’s kids Lulu and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Serge died in 1991, at age 62.
Here’s ScarJo and Lulu’s version of Bonnie & Clyde.
