Rihanna has been hospitalized in Sweden with what she says is the flu and was forced to cancel a concert in the city of Malmo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star released a statement after she was forced to cancel the performance on October 31.
“I am so sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo Sweden," she wrote. "I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time… so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there.”
She also tweeted her apologies to fans, posting the message, "Sorry Malmo!" and attaching a photograph of an IV drip inserted into her forearm.
THR reports that she is expected to resume performing November 1 in Stockholm.
In other Rihanna news, it’s been announced that the singer will guest on Drake’s Take Care album, along with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Outkast's Andre 3000, Rick Ross and The Weeknd.

Hospitalized for flu?? When I have it, which is hardly ever, I just have to look like hell, ans schelp around the house in big furry slippers and a bad stomach & red nose. We're not getting bombarded every day, like others, with this girl who is talented, but makes the news for all her controversy, not talent.

I saw her on a repeat show last night Graham Norton...she's a little strange, and rather stuck up...but hope she's feeling better....She has that in your face attitude..and didn't seem to blend well with the other guests....a legend in her own mind.....

Total publicity stunt. Honestly, someone young and healthy looking like that hospitalized for the flu? Give me a break. I've had the flu a few times in my life. It feels horrible but it's certainly not a life and death situation unless you are immune compromised or elderly. Next thing you know she'll be touting the virtues of Big Pharma vaccinations. No money is enough for someone like this, so why not. Publicity stunt and possibly paid by vaccine companies to create a stir and get people to vaccinate with their dangerous and ineffective products. May sound far fetched to some but nothing surprises me anymore. Unless she was hospitalized for other reasons, such as mental health or drug abuse. That I would be more likely to believe rather than the flu.

Maybe Rhianna should try dressing and then maybe she will not catch the flu, but hospitalized for the flu - come on.
