Conrad Murray was sentenced today (Tuesday) to four years in prison for the manslaughter death of Michael Jackson.
Murray was convicted three weeks ago, after prosecutors successfully argued that the physician's reckless use of the surgical anesthetic propofol to treat the pop star's insomnia led to Jackson's death.
Witnesses testified that Murray gave propofol nearly every night in the two months leading up to Jackon's death on June 25, 2009.
Jackson was preparing for his comeback concerts at London's O2 Arena.
Prosecutors asked for the maximum four years sentence and CNN reports that they got it.
CNN reports that a sentencing memo filed with the judge last week by prosecutors said Murray has "displayed a complete lack of remorse" and is "even worse, failing to accept even the slightest level of responsibility."
I think it's too bad I feel that he got this only because it was Michael Jackson - I'm sure if it was just a normal person nothing would have happened!! I also feel that Michael Jackson would have found another way to take his life - due to the doctor didn't force it down his throat it was at his request that he did it. Once again the famous win - sure we all miss Michael but he was heading down that path I think anyways.
He should get life behind bars he took someones life and not just a someone Micheal Jacksons some admired by many plus its a slap in the fact to his children
Sad that they couldn't convict O.J. with overwhelming evidence and this guy is made to take the complete fall when there was some indication that Jackson may have contributed to his own demise. I'm not saying that the doctor was blameless but it seems like everyone refuses to place some of the blame where it so clearly belongs.
No one should be surprised at this misscarriage of justice. Once again it proves that money can buy anything that you want regardless of the cost to human life.

He knew darn well what he was doing to him, Tried covering up. 911 wasn't called immediately...He won't even serve 4yrs.Murray was ticked..asked for more money, Jackson said no.This so called Dr. knew the amt given was deadly..Couple days before his death, he performed on stage brilliantly & coherent. What a friggin joke. He should be locked up, keys thrown out!
The guy was a doctor with an oath and a duty of care. If he wasn't just in it for the money and fame, he wouldn't have allowed his patient to manipulate him to use a drug that is only to be used in surgery. Michael is responsible for requesting the but the Doctor should know better. His own greed put him behind bars where he deserves to be. Maybe this will send a huge message to other doctors who cowtow to celebrity demands. Shame on him for disrespecting his profession.
Just wait untill his BOOK comes out..this guy will become famous and rich..every talk show around the world will be after him..And as for Michael. Well he was a disaster waiting to happen..
