Did Beyoncé give birth to a baby girl early this morning? That's the rumour circulating the web and clogging up my Twitter feed - but there's no official confirmation.

Word seems to be that Beyoncé checked into St. Luke's Roosevelt, a private hospital in New York City yesterday. Though her identity wasn't confirmed, reports said that staff at St. Luke's were put on alert for the arrival of a "celebrity VIP." It was also reported that the star's mom Tina and sister Solange are currently in New York, awaiting the new arrival, while some outlets are saying she went into labour on Thursday.

Reports say that the child has been named Tiana May Carter.

If it's true, she must have been premature. Right? Either way, and even if the rumours that she's just been stuffing a pillow up there all this time are true, I guess there will eventually be a baby (from wherever) and they'll name it something and life will go on.

But, really? Tiana May Carter? Blech.

Update: As commenter PFr points out, there have been some pretty funny pics posted online, one of which is of a pillow. Another is this one, though, which is at least a baby, even if it doesn't look like a newborn. (No, I don't actually think that's Beyoncé's kid.)
