Hold the phone. Did Gene Simmons just diss Madonna and call her a "karaoke singer"? I think so.
It seems the Kiss bassist was stopped by TMZ on the way out of a restaurant in Hollywood last night and asked what he thought of Madge's upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance. He replied, "I love all karaoke singers, I love all the girl singers who get up and sing with tapes ... shame on you!"
Then added, "By the way, Madonna's terrific ... I hate the tapes."
(You gotta watch it. It's all in the tone of voice.)
I totally want to see these two come face to face now. He can make some gross sexist remark and she can roll her eyes then turn to someone and say in a fake British accent, "I looooathe Kiss. I guess he doesn't knooow that," then they can start wrestling and Shannon Tweed can accuse him of cheating and pretend to threaten to divorce him - and they can parley it all in to ratings for their "reality show."
I agree with him completly, the women was never talented when it came to singing and is WAY PAST her prime - Retire already and maybe a facelift and do something about that gap in your teeth!!!....nasty women she is.
I agree with Gene. Most of the pop singers, FAKE their performance with taped songs. Gene always does LIVE music with a live band. Anyone can get on a stage and do karaoke.
I agree with dave. Time for Madonna to dawn her depends and retire from whatever she was trying to prove. This useless scab seems to cling on doesn't it!!!!!!
Here's the test of greatness. If Madonna died tomorrow, what song(s) would be her legacy? Her "masterpiece" for the ages? Material Girl? Papa Don't Preach? Like A Virgin? It's all forgetable pop tapioca, displaying marginal talent and with nothing very deep or memorable to say. No denying she's a shrewd businessperson though. Ditto Gene
Gene is intelligent and Madonna is a great business lady, but who cares if he said that about her. He is just saying what is on his mind and that would go for Madonna as well. She indeed speaks her mind.
I seem to like Gene Simmons I think Hes a very smart man.KNows his business well and does a great job .So does Modonna and he seems to think shes great too . So theres no arguement !

Well "princess" im Canadian ... so, withc that being said, Madonna is not now, nor was she ever a realy musician, or good looking, she should just pack it up & head to vegas with the rest of the has-beens

Completely agree with Helen. I don't think it was a personal attack and I agree, I hate the tapes. But I adore Madonna, and enjoy KISS too.
