Russell Brand has reportedly filed for divorce from Katy Perry. This is according to TMZ.

Documents filed in L.A. by Brand reportedly cite "irreconcilable differences." The two were married Oct. 23, 2010 in India.  So, it lasted a whole 14 months. Not bad for stars.

Russell has released a statement that says, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Media has been in a frenzy recently over reports that they spent Christmas apart and haven't been wearing their wedding rings.

Katy recently told Barbara Walters married life was "lovely," while Russell told Ellen DeGeneres this month, "I'm really happily married ... I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge. I’m still alive."

Meh. Are there even any jokes left to make about this stuff?
