JImmy Fallon The Voice
Mr Impersonations, Jimmy Fallon, brought out an assortment of pop favourites on Sunday during his post Super Bowl show, setting up a scene in which the stars audition for the half time show, with The Voice judges listening on.

Among those who didn't get the gig are Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Josh Groban, Taylor Swift, Redfoo, Shufflebot, and Fallon's creation Tebowie. Better luck next time, guys.

Adam Levine Jimmy Fallon
Welcome to this week's caption contest.

Your subjects today are Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and television host and mimic extraordinaire, Jimmy Fallon. They are on stage at the recent Golden Globe awards. And they are hugging. Or maybe fighting? Dancing? Perhaps Jimmy is trying to show Adam that he in fact moves more like Jagger? I bet that's it. As you can tell, I didn't watch the Globes. Did you?

Got a funny, clever, brilliant or existential caption for the picture? Write it in the comments section below. Fart jokes will not be published. We'll pick a winner and that winner will win the thrill and satisfaction of having his or her name and winning caption posted on this blog on Wednesday, February 8. Other than that, you get nothing. But you can't have everything. Where would you put it? Ha. Rimshot. Thanks Steven Wright. The rest of you, get to work!

And the winner of last week's Caption This contest is...

Fallon Bowie
This is what happens when David Bowie and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow get put into one of those machines Jeff Goldblum's character had in The Fly, or when Jimmy Fallon gets an idea. Either way, ha!

Beyonce
Jimmy Fallon and his producers were apparently asleep at the wheel - or something - on Friday night.

If you saw the show, you saw the pop star perform, backed by The Roots and looking less pregnant than she really should at five months (or whatever).

But it wasn’t proof that B actually is faking it. The segment was prerecorded several months ago. But the weird thing is that the show tried to make it look like she was right there in the studio. Jimmy Fallon holds her album, 4, and announces her presence, the crowd goes wild, and...cut to Beyonce....on tape. Nobody would have known if it weren’t for the lack of belly but the YouTube video is clearly dated July 2011. There you go.

But was the show disingenuous? What do you think?

Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy Fallon's impersonations are always awesome. His Neil Young might be the best, particularly when that Neil Young is covering Willow Smith, but Bob Dylan is good too.

This week he's Jim Morrison singing the Reading Rainbow theme song. I didn't actually know what the Reading Rainbow but assumed it was a children's show about reading, and learned that I was indeed correct after looking it up. Someone give me a prize.

And, as one might expect, Jimmy's Jim is eerily spot on.

Jimmy-fallon-justin-bieber-spoofWhen you're a young, rich, world-famous boy superstar slapped with a paternity suit, there's a good chance someone is going to poke a little fun at your situation.
Channeling his inner Justin (which, let's be honest, we all do from time to time *flicks hair, smiles, winks*), talk-show host Jimmy Fallon hilariously skewers the kid's hit song "Baby" with a rendition of "(It's Not My) Baby," backed by his house band The Roots, with a fun guest rap by Black Thought.
From the clothes to the dance moves to the lyrics, it's a pretty fun spoof of a nasty situation.

Fallon-timberlake

The first time they did it, it was completely unexpected and a viral sensation. Now late-night viewers expect Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon to launch into a “History of Rap” performance each time J.T. appears on his buddy’s talk show.

Well, Timberlake’s most recent guest spot brought more of the same.

Keeping up with their fun tradition of performing a medley of classic hip-hop songs, the duo karaoke’d over The Roots’ backing tracks of everything from L.L. Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” to Kanye West’s “Stronger.”

Catch the latest “History of Rap” performance, a full track list, plus the rest of the triology after the jump.

Balls

On Thursday night, Late Night host and parody singer Jimmy Fallon was joined by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder to sing a little clap-along ditty called “Balls in Your Mouth.”

As you can tell by its title, “Balls in Your Mouth” a political piece, an insightful commentary on the BP oil spill, and a warning to ocean-bound swimmers. Naturally.

Justin Timberlake appeared on Jimmy Fallon last night. And this happened. It's a History of Rap Part II!

This follows, of course, a History of Rap Part I (the firste, as we like to say) which was performed by the dynamic duo last year. That one is posted below. And to think I took entire university courses in this stuff.
