Aw. Did Adam Levine take a beating? Poor widdle guy.
No! Ha.
The Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach posted a pic of himself sporting a bloody lip on his Twitter today, with the caption "Rough Morning." Turns out the injuries are makeup for his band's music video for "Payphone."
E! says, "In the sequence, the bloodied Levine, wearing glasses and a dapper suit, runs down the street with his gorgeous blonde costar."
Adam also posted the message, "Shot the video for #payphone today. More tomorrow. This s--t is truly insane. In a great way. Crazy."
"Payphone" shot to number one on iTunes this week.
E! Online reports that the Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach - who is NOT breaking up with his girlfriend! - announced today the launch of 222 Records. And, he's already signed on his first artist, Glee's Matthew Morrison.
"I am excited to be working on my next album with such an incredible singer, writer and producer as Adam Levine," said Morrison in a statement. "Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together."
Continuing the lovefest, Levine gushed, "Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening. I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew's forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release."
222 Records will release Morrison's album sometime this spring. His self-titled debut was released last year.
Are you excited about a Matthew Morrison/Adam Levine joint venture?

Tara!!!!! Yay!!! Congratulations Tara. You win nothing but this imaginary pat on the back but with caption writing like that, I bet your life is pretty rich already. Tara's caption is above. Thanks to the rest of you for coming out. Remember, there are no losers. Ha! I lie. There are totally losers. And everyone who isn't TARA is one. But you can redeem yourself with THIS WEEK'S caption contest.
In a blunt Twitter message that was retweeted more than 100 times over yesterday afternoon, Maroon 5 lead singer and celeb judge on singing contest show The Voice Adam Levine let his feelings on tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards be known to the world. And they aren’t so favourable.
“The VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. F*** you VMA’s,” Levine tweeted.
Adam Levine and Maroon 5 performed before a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl this past weekend, and Levine was joined on stage at one point by the fairy princess herself, Stevie Nicks.
Stevie and Adam sang her song Leather and Lace, (Is that a cliché song title or what? Oh the earnestness of the 1980s!) originally performed as a duet between the Fleetwood Mac star and Don Henley of the Eagles (who I just found out, in a totally unrelated manner, she used to date).
inMusic has a behind the scenes look at Maroon 5's Moves like Jagger video. The song features frontman Adam Levine's fellow The Voice coach Christina Aguilera -- and the video features Sir Mick himself.
Moves Like Jagger is directed by Jonas Akerlund, the wiz behind Lady Gaga's Paparazzi and Telephone clips. So...expect big things
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine's hit song "Moves Like Jagger" – which features his Voice cast-mate Christina Aguilera – is about to get the ultimate endorsement: a guest appearance from the inspiration himself, according to Us Weekly.
"Making a video for 'Moves Like Jagger' with Christina Aguilera tomorrow!" Levine, 32, tweeted Thursday. Levine and Aguilera first performed the homage to Jagger, 67, on The Voice in June; Us Weekly now reports that Jagger himself will have a part in the hit song's video.
Us Weekly is also reporting that all four coaches of The Voice – including Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton – would be returning for the show's second season.
A frothy new pop track from Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera in a brief but typically show-stopping cameo has been issued by Universal Music - check it out below.
Here is Canadian treasure Michael Buble performing This Love by Maroon 5. I like the part where he forgets the words. Who did it better? Probably comes down to whether you like Michael or Adam Levine best.
You'll have to see the Maroon 5 video on YouTube (here) because it's a wee bit risque. Also, they've disabled embedding.
Security!! (Found via Perez) A lady crashed the stage at a Maroon 5 concert Sunday night. The look on Adam Levine's face is awesome. He's all "Whoa! What the?!"
We don't see what happened to her but one might assume security took care of it. Look for it around the :50 mark.
